Calling all fans of the Crawleys, Bates’ and Carsons: “Downton Abbey: The Exhibition” is back.

The exhibit, which runs from June 27 to September 7, is housed at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina, and has been extended after COVID-19 cut short its earlier run.

It’s well worth the three-hour drive for a chance to view actual costumes worn by actors in the show, special multimedia presentations and recreations of the show’s most memorable sets. Plus, since it’s showcased against the real-life glamour of the Vanderbilts’ Biltmore Estate, the setting couldn’t be more special.

At Biltmore’s Amherst, you’ll get a glimpse of sets such as Mrs. Patmore’s kitchen, the posh dining room and the servant’s quarters. Then, at Biltmore Legacy, find more than 50 costumes that appeared on the series, such as those worn by Michelle Dockey and Hugh Bonneville.

Entrance to “Downtown Abbey: The Exhibition” is included as part of the regular daytime estate admission ticket. Advance ticket purchase is strongly recommended, due to social distancing requirements and reduced hours. Face coverings are required in all indoor areas.
