A new invitation-only, private golf club is on its way to Athens. Located just 10 minutes outside of Athens, The Rose Golf Club will be set on 588 acres.

Nick and Dimitri Cassini, the brothers behind The Rose Golf Club, have sought out Tripp Davis, a prominent golf course architect, to design the course. “The vision is to create a strategically interesting and varied golf course over firm and fast conditions, while taking advantage of the amazing long views …” stated Davis.

In an effort to make The Rose course one of the best, the Cassinis have looked to Bubba Watson, Bendon Todd and Chris Kirk, some of golf’s elite players, to help shape the course. “Having these three professional players who are among the club’s founding members will bring an unparalleled wealth of experience to the design table,” said co-founder Nick.

Nick is a two-time All-American golfer, member of the 2001 Walker Cup team and a University of Georgia Circle of Honor inductee.

The Cassinis, along with Watson, Todd, Kirk and other influential figures, will compose the founding members of the golf club. “With this group of founding members, The Rose is set to elevate Georgia’s golf legacy and establish itself as one of the prominent clubs in the Southeast,” stated Dimitri.

Construction on the new course is set to begin this summer.
